Therapy
Anne-Louise offers a client centred integrative approach to therapy using evidence based treatments including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Attachment focussed and Interpersonal therapies. She is a registered Circle of Security Parent Educator and an accredited Triple P Provider.
In your initial interview, Anne-Louise will discuss your current concerns and ask you to complete some assessment tools to better understand the factors that may impact your mental health and functioning. When these have been discussed, together we will decide the most appropriate intervention to assist you to address them.
Review sessions usually take 50-60 minutes and begin with a discussion of how things have been for you since your last session. The session continues using the approach agreed upon to work through your concerns or issues, and finishes with a review to ensure therapy goals are being met and the approach is right for you.
The number of sessions of therapy varies depending on your circumstances. If you have a Mental Health Care Plan you will receive Medicare rebates for up to 10 sessions per year with your GP's referral. You may not need all of these sessions.
Please note we do not provide cognitive, functional or mental health assessments for third parties such as Centrelink, NDIS or to clients engaged in any legal or Family Court proceedings.
